Jim Watts holds qualifications in engineering and marketing and has over 30 years experience in design of major distribution centres throughout Australasia, South East Asia and the Middle East. Most of this experience was gained during a distinguished career with the Dexion Group of companies in Australia and the UK. Jim held senior positions in engineering design and technical support plus project engineering and management.

Jim has specialist skills in the design of distribution centres including sophisticated order fulfilment systems such as paperless RF wireless technology and pick to light. Designs have also included fitout of automated equipment such as sortation conveyors, high rise ASRS storage and picking modules. Designs prepared by Jim have won prestigious awards including Logistics Association of Australia (LAA) Comino trophy.

As a senior consultant, Jim has led many tasks in distribution strategy development and facility design. Industries include pharmaceutical, stationery, engineering and fast moving consumer goods (FMCG). He is a current member of the Logistics Association of Australia and continues to be actively engaged in project management of installations as well as design of distribution centres.
